Confidence Rating

Reflects how much documented evidence was available when generating a score. High confidence means extensive documentation was available.

Why it matters

Without confidence ratings, scores for obscure figures would appear equally authoritative to scores for extensively documented figures.

What good looks like

A major cable news anchor with decades of documented coverage has a high confidence rating.

What poor practice looks like

A regional radio host with limited national coverage has a lower confidence rating.
