How it works

01

Search any name

Type any journalist, host, commentator, or outlet. We cover mainstream media, independent voices, podcasters, and news organizations.

02

See the evidence

Every score is built from 5 behavioral criteria — things like whether they correct errors, cite primary sources, and disclose who funds them. No opinions. No ideology.

03

Make better decisions

Know whether the information you're consuming comes from someone who operates with integrity — regardless of whether you agree with their politics.

Scoring Framework

Five criteria. Weighted by importance.

Every score is built from five dimensions of journalistic credibility assessed over the past 12 months.

Criteria developed from research by the Knight Foundation, Gallup, and the Reuters Institute Digital News Report. Read our methodology →

Highest weight

Factual Accuracy

Are factual claims accurate and verified? Do headlines match content without exaggeration?

High weight

Correction Culture

Are errors corrected openly and promptly? Or are mistakes denied, minimized, or stealth-edited?

Medium weight

Source Transparency

Are sources cited? Is funding and ownership disclosed? Are conflicts of interest acknowledged?

Medium weight

Content Integrity

Is opinion clearly labeled? Is content produced for journalism or for outrage and engagement?

Lower weight

Editorial Independence

Does the figure show genuine independence and diverse credible voices, not just audience capture?
